mcloughlin2
Whats the builder recommending? Whats the safety factor for both thicknesses (10mm and 12mm)? It is usually better to go thicker if in doubt but aslong as you don't have any kids who might decide to throw toys at the tank you might be ok going with the minimum. fongyfong
Like ppl said the stronger the better, but 10mm shud be fine i had a 6 x2 x2 and it was 10mm sides and 12mm base
cyber_crimes
Find out the price difference in both and if you can afford it go 12mm. I had a 8x2x2 in 15mm glass. Thicker the better IMO (except when moving it lol)

1hopper09
mate 10mm is more than enough as your not going to high ,the only reason why i would go 12mm bottom is just incase you drop your decor, but when you think about it ,if you drop any decor it can break no mater if its 10mm or 12mm so go the 10mmas its more than enough cheers mate good luck
