pride
Gday, I'm going to upgrade my tank in the next 4 months and was wondering what would be a good sized foot print for my fish. Tank inhabitants are tire track eel, pink GG, sengegal bichir, black ghost knife, silver dollars, sailfin plec and a pair of altifrons. Current set up is a 6x2 but was thinking of getting a custom 7' x 3' long. Anything I need to be careful with such as glass thickness or height in a 3' wide tank? I've always got my tanks from St George in the past and never had a problem so was going to see if they can make this up for me. I would like to go with 8' length but room restrictions wont allow it. steve24cro
well then 7 x 3 x 3 would be a nice tank, would cost alot too, 15mm glass all round
genetik_defekt
unfortuneately 7 feet would probably cost you what an 8 foot would. As its custom then not a standard size. 8 feet is more of a standard size. not saying it would be hard to find but it will cost you more because your still paying for the large pieces to be cut down. pride
cheers, Still getting around to starting this but have been thrown a few things to side track this by a couple more months. I'm still set on the 7x3 as the space I want this for wont fit an 8ft length. Also lost my tire track eel from a careless mistake of leaving the water line too high and a hole in my lids where I used to have AC500's.
