Fish Bot
Hey ppl just got a quick question, my 50cm silver arro had some scales pulled out from a pretty aggressive festea a while back and just wondering at that size whether or not its scales will fully grow back? The marks are looking better than they originally did but you can still see where hes been attacked. Will it be scarred forever? Cheers.
Phenomena
Hi, The scale will grow back but it takes time.. I think you'd better move the festae out if it has show aggression. HTH...
AlexJordan
I agree, fish have indeterminate growth (which means they can keep growing until the die they die) so things like scales and fins will always regenerate, albeit slowly under certain conditions. It's apparently common practice for Aro breeders in Asia to remove any problem scales from their fish a few months prior to selling them so they grow back nicely.
