enigma 0 Posted January 3, 2005 thanks for the comments they (except 1st&2nd) went to LFS and 3 were sold Sarah, i don't think 'grafting' is the correct term. the plants are grown separately and then i pick and attach the best ones for particular spot on driftwood. about the tannin... yes i can live with it now fishybits, i use fishing line and i am glad you can't spot them haven't tried to put those in african cichlids tank and wouldn't do it Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
OziOscar 1 Posted January 3, 2005 Hello! I've done the same thing in my Malawi tank and the fish ignore it, except for the smaller ones using it for a hiding space. And yeah - it's not biotope but it looks OK and doesn't turn into mbuna food. I am not nearly so artistic with my arrangements... and use black cotton so it can rot away eventually when the plant has attached to the wood (tip I picked up from an Amano book). Cheers - OziOscar.
