Didn't realise you could buy marbles on eBay

I may have missed it, but are we voting on the quality of the tank or the quality of the photo?

Matty started following Best artificial plants, The Aquarium Hobbyist Photo Comp and Pics of some new fish

Nice job The eye looks pixellated. Which is the more "natural" looking photo?

Thanks for the feedback Mitch substrate is calcium carbonate. Saroon, whiteclouds look nice similar to PNG gudgeons, I may have to check out the LFS to see what's available.

Sooooo, it's been a while since I've posted and a while since I've seen any old faces post some new pictures, (Budi, I'm looking at you ) so here goes. After 2-3 years without buying a fish , I decided to get rid of my remaining cichlids, keep the clown loaches and bristlenoses, and create a community tank. After saying for years that the only tetra's I buy will be live food, I now have a tank full of tetra's. Having kids that are now 5 & 3 made the decision a little easier too. Here is a current list of species, although will be adding in the next few weeks - Tank is 6x2x2 in-wall. 10x Clown Loaches 3x Albino BN's 4x Nematobrycon palmeri (Emperor Tetra) 4x Rasbora heteromorpha (Harlequin Rasbora) 4x Hemigrammus rhodostomus (Rummy Nose Tetra) 4x Hyphessobrycon eques (Serpae Tetra) 10x Paracheirodon innesi (Neon Tetra) 3x "Assorted Guppies" I plan on ordering a couple of Blue, and Gold Rams, but I'm not sure if their temperament is ok for this tank. I also plan on getting a nice school of glass catfish. Any other suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Bugger the 8x3x2.5 I want to see some pictures of the 16'x12'x4.2' By the way, the fish list you have is my ultimate dream wish list Bucco's, Champs', Fosso's and N. fusco's

Nice use of HDR Do you have a good tutorial on how you achieved yours?
-
Haven't taken any of the fish for....god knows how long. For the last 12 months I've been toying with the idea of changing from cichlids to a community tank. As for pictures, My latest lens is a 50mm F1.4 so I've been mainly doing portraits, weddings and my kids.

Awesome and unreal?

I'm pretty sure most dogs do that anyway without being influenced by a cat

Hi guys, I'm looking to change my 6x2x2 from Malawi cichlids to a community tank. I would love to have real plants and have a CO2 system, but I don't have the room above the tank for plant maintenance. (In wall tank) What artificial plants have you found look most realistic and where did you get them from? Preferable from an online retailer. I'd also prefer a weighted anchor instead of a plastic "tub" shape.

I agree, nice shot mate I thought it was a vergola at first.... Did you alter the colours at all in PS? Or is it straight fom the camera?
-
It looks very similar to my Astatotilapia brownae (it's known by a different name now I think) although yours has more yellow in the body than mine. Mine is apprx 6-7 years old and may have had more colour as a juvie - can't find any pics of him though

Two words for you. *Building Inspector* A small cost to you now will save you a possible huge cost in the future

I've never been a featherfin freak, but my god, with these pics, you've almost turned me!
