foai
I have a female aulonacara and she has quite bad fin rot on her tail fin - half is missing. She gets bullied quite a bit and I think it is a result of stress. Is there any treatments people can suggest. I looked in the FAQ section but couldn't find anything relevant. I am thinking if there is nothing effective I would prefer to euthanase her as she is having such a hard time. Cheers Foai
CThompson
She won' lose her tail to "stress", she will lose it due to it being bitten off. Killing her because she is having a hard time due to your mixing the fish poorly is a pretty poor fish keeping. Put more places in there for her to hide, give her to somone on ACE who can look after her, or take her back to a shop and give her to them. Use Melafix to prevent fungus. YeW
Put her in a floatie with a piece of ag pipe. If the rot continues try Melafix (or the DIY version of the same) That should sort the problem out and give her time to recover.

BlackGhost
One long word... Promethisul. My favourite medication! Works similar to melafix. Bit better in my opinion.
