Surtac
thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking it might be a hybrid.I was also thinking it might be a Tropheops chitande (gold) but it doesn't look right.Surtac
Ben
They look like the fish Cross Road Aquarium are selling as electric yellows but they have no black on them at all. Sound like your fish? Some better quality pictures might assist if you can.

Josh
I have no idea why you would line breed them to get rid of the black as well as breed the correct body shape out of them.
CichlidProfessional
They are "Solid Electric Yellows"...two types are going around....a pure Electric Yellow that has been line bred to remove all black from the fins and a hybrid (Electric Yellow cross Red Zebra)...both are purposely produced for the hobby... Buccal
Yes I've heard that before to,,,, I come across some info that indicated the really strong deep vivid yellow ones have had red zebra genes introduced then phased out.I'd hadn't heard of deliberate line breeding to lose the black markings,,, though in my history of breeding I've had two so far of almost solid yellow. This yellows subject has always been a hot topic with lots to talk about. Ha ha.
Surtac
I agree josh. You would want to improve both the yellow & black as well as keeping the correct body shape.I will pass this info on to him & it will be up to him to decide.Personally I wouldn't touch them. Thanks everyone for the repliesSurtac
