fullychichlid
Hi just bought a Saratoga Wednesday and it is now Sunday (5 days) and he has not had anything to eat yet. Water parameters are all fine. He is approx 40cm long very healthy. Any tips on getting him to start eating. Have tried beef heart, white bait and prawns, all what he was eating before. Also tried Garlic liquid to make him eat that did not work. Had food at top of tank and at bottow of tank. When should i start getting concerned after how many days. Any advice would be appreciated. Tried any live foods? A friend has one of these, seemed to only eat something if it was moving...
antz
i had had a few now med - large: started eating after wk and a half. had a small one started eating after a wk current one i got small too, ate after a few days. i try no live food, only white bait, pellets, prawns and blood worms. the more live food you give it, the more aggressive it will be and also be turned off non live foods also i find it helps to leave the light off as much as possible when you first get them, helps them settle in HTH

Yes he is fat and thick and very healthy; I will wait and I suppose he will eat when he is hungry.
