6x2x2 filtration

Hey guys,

I've recently acquired a 6x2x2 tank. It came with the aquaone nautilus 2700. I also added an eheim class 2217. This means I have a maximum of 3700l/hr filtration on a 650L tank. To my understanding the turnover should be 4 times the volume. I will be adding established sponge filters to the tank once it's more established and I'm slowly adding fish to the tank. I'm not concerned about media as the eheim and aquaone canisters have beed replaced with litres of matrix.

Just want some feedback on my filtration.

Thanks!

I will be following this topic with detail as I have recently purchased a new 6x2x2 and thinking of running twin nautilus 2700uv filters on it.

In my opinion I think it should be ample filtration for your tank, you just need to remember that your actual flow rate drops a fair bit with head height (length of tubing from filter to tank), so generally speaking your flow rate will be less than what is recommended on the box

:)

Hope it all works out

Regards

Chris
