mjoconr
Would the same methods as used to transport fish for 24 hours work for this type of pickup ?IE. Oxygen filling the bag under pressure, chemical headers if needed and possibly add Methylene blue as I've seen it used overseas for shipping

Link2Hell
if the fish have been purged and bagged with O2 & prime or similarthere is no reason why they won't be fine in the bag for 48 hrs ormore so long as the temp is reasonably stableit comes down to preparation by the seller and qty per bagif you are driving then take your long distance auction kitbuckets, bags, O2 bottle if you have one, airpump with lineand airstones, prime, African buffers if you need to mix freshwater and a test kit, styro boxes, elastic bandsyou get the idea especially if you intend to stay over nightalso good to make fish friends in Melb so you have help if needed
