luis
I've recently kind of started over with my 3ft tank. I've kept the 4x Syno. lucipinnis and then sold all the mbuna and restocked with 1m5f Pseudotropheus saulosi from Doug. What do people think regarding 1m/5f saulosi for a tank this size with this rockwork? One concern I have is that some of the females could turn out to be males. I've had it happen before so I'm tempted to add more juveniles to start with. At the same time part of me fears that will lead to more aggression later on.I previously had 9 adult "dwarf" mbuna in here but 2 different species so I'm not sure I was doing the "less aggression through overstocking" thing correctly. Josh
I would be adding another male and 5 more girls. You might as well fill it up.

luis
Wow, that's a pretty unanimous response. Looks like I should aim for at least 10, maybe more. It's a 3x14.

Craig1967
I have 2 x 3 ft tanks with Saulosi. 1 has 2 males and 17 females, these aren't quite full grown yet. I think this tank looks great with bright yellow active fish every where and not to much aggression so far.My other tank has 3 males and 10 females all full size. The dominant male in this tank constantly harasses all other fish to the point that it is uneasy to watch.
luis
Thanks for the data point Craig. Very useful. I guess every case really is different.
