mrseby
Try to start with 6 or more fish as they grow 2 should start to form a pair and kill the rest off....mmmmmok lets start again lol.start with 6 or more fish keep an eye on them all the time as they get bigger 1 will dominate over all the rest ..this should be a male ...as soon as you can tell that he is a male remove him into his own tank...then keep an eye on the rest as a new male will come up in the group when this happens sell him and continue to do this until you are left with 2 or more females the rest should be all girls ..?When you see that the girls are fat and ready for brreding i would recomend to setup a 4 ft x 2 x 2 and set her up with some flower pots on their side..these need to be big enough for both of them to fit.split the tank in 2 halfs with flower pots in both halves..i use plastic mesh to do this ..you can buy it from harware/house about the size of chicken wire ....After the girl has been in this breeding set-up for about 6-7 days ..introduce the male on the other side ..he should go nuts...lucky you have a divider between them ..hahahAnyway when she is ready u will see her tube out ..when this happens get rid of the diveder and let the male IN :^:Anyway keep an eye on them make sure they don't kill each other etc etc oopps also to get them in breeding condition earth worms ..will do it Good luck if you get to this stage send us an email if you need more info :88:
Link2Hell
Its been tooo long since Sorroz last bred them, nothing special I can think of just being patient till the fish were ready .. low alkaline water 7.4pH + 0.3 - temp was 27*C-30*C they come from Sierra Leonne/Ivory CoastCondition with meaty foods and keep them from killing each otherMake sure you have male and female and they are about 12-15cm Male and 10cm Female (should be sexually mature at those sizes)Spawned on a round rock I think ..... Kev what can you remember L2H
