daimen84 Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 That one inch rule is bogus. If you have high filtering capacity it can be more and if you have lower it should be less. You will just have to monitor the water, the fish behavior and alot of other factors to determin how many fish to keep in the tank. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Buccal Posted January 6, 2015 Share Posted January 6, 2015 Also keeping more fish in a tank is more water changes and maintenance.If your talking malawis,,, then best to pack them in more then be prepared to weed out as they mature far down the track.Aggression problems are lessened with denser populations.As mentioned, good filtration and weekly water changes will suffice.
