Introducing black calvus to colony

Interested to hear other peoples techniques on introducing calvus to an existing colony, I have a trio 1m 2f, girls are about 5cm, male is 7cm. I just brought another male to add a bit of competition , however the new male is slightly smaller and getting battered. What's the best way to bolster numbers?

I'd add more males and females. I haven't had problems with many males and females. But adding a single male is tricky

+1 with Bruce only add in groups or females

never add a single male

if you want to add new blood to your breeders

then set another tank and get a couple of females

and add your original male to them and the new male

to your original females
