Chuckmeister Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 I've never done a fishless cycle so I'm uncertain about time frames but I'd guess that if your ammonia is not spiking then maybe your load on the tank isn't enough...ie not enough fish.edit - If you think that you have enough then maybe it takes a bit of time for the decomposition to fire up enough to significantly affect your water parameters Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

chickensnitty Posted July 10, 2015 Author Share Posted July 10, 2015 Thanks its up to 2ppm ammonia and .5ppm nitrite so I think I'm on the right track.I put 3 40mm chucks of fish in a stocking I'm assuming this should be enough of a load???
