moonie
Hi I think I might have Camallanus Worms in my Tang community tank . My Multies are looking kind of swollen around the anus area but I cant see any sign of the actual worm. I have some Big L can I treat the tank just to be on the safe side or should I wait for more evidence. I also have a lot of different sorts of fry in the tank, would they need to be removed first Thanks in advance for your help Shana
Rod54
If you can't see tiny red hairs....the worms....don't worry. My multie males tend to be swollen in that area....and they haven't got worms....I think!?!?
moonie
Hi Rod54 Thanks for your help, I managed to catch one of the multies and I couldnt see any red hairs/worms so hopefully Im stressing for nothing. I had these worms in a tropical community tank and it wasnt nice I ended up having to euthanize several fish, its not something I want to have to do again
Camo
If you have any dramas with worms i use Avitrol bird worming tablets at the rate of 1 tablet per 10L of water. This works great for me. Cameron
gingerbeer
I have used Big L on apistos - think the multis would take it better than them. However as Rod said - no worms no worries.
