barnesy
Gdays teamAre these fish all banned from importation now? The market was full of them a few years back. I want to turn on my big tanks again but can't find any of the cool big fish.Have you guys seen them around?Cheers Barnesy
Ducksta
They have always* been banned from importation.I'm guessing the market has slowed a bit because buyers are reluctant to drop as much money as before. So the reward for the risk of importing illegal species seems to be less.I'm sure there would still be a few around - maybe the sellers are just a bit more wary of having their wares advertised on forums and the like these days?* Always - as in ever since we've had species specific import and quarantine regulations - decades. noxious_nasties
* Always - as in ever since we've had species specific import and quarantine regulations - decades. And for good reason as well. Just a reminder to remember that although we may love certain fish they can be a nightmare in the natural environment.John
