At this stage I am just hoping to make it. My u9 cricketers have their last game so I can't leave the 'berra until after their game finishes at 11:30am Saturday morning. So even though I am almost out of fish I won't make it in time to put any in if I make it.

Cheers

some nice fish went through .... anything in particular Skippy

American , Malawi, Tang, catfish ??

Nothing in particular, I haven't been to a meeting or auction in years so I was just curious. After every auction a few years ago there would be pages of discussion about idiots smoking on the school grounds, too many yellows, too many bristlenoses, not enough yellows, not enough bristlenose, people talking during the auction, Sorroz didn't say please when he told people to shut up :rules: , etc.

There was good variety of fish of all kinds..

Since the club has cut back the number of lots in the auction

and limited the number to each membership this has meant that people tend to bring in their better types

of fish and not a lot of rubbish they are trying to dump.

Also reduced lots mean we finish at a reasonable hour ...Saturday finished around 9.30 pm and the committee was out by 10.30pm.

I thought prices on the night were reasonable for both the seller and the buyer.

Bagging of the fish was generally excellent and the crowd was very well behaved up until near the end when they got a bit out of control.
