malawi sand diver
Hi, do you see any external signs of worms and what do they look like?Worms are possible, but a more common explanation is that you may have seen clear white stringy poo and thought that was a worm. Assuming that the appearance is as described and not dark, visible worms, it is caused by a protozoal parasite and its best to quarantine the affected fish as treat with medicated food. I couldnt see any worms in the video, but the fish shows signs of discomfort. If it has stopped eating, it is likely bloat. Is it still eating? malawi sand diver
If they are eating OK and there is no visible signs of worms/bloat, no need for medication. it is possibly some issue with the water. First thing to do would be to do an ammonia test and test water chemistry to see if that's OK.
Chuckmeister
Is it one fish or multi fish flashing off the rocks? If its just one fish then it may just be having a scratch. If there are more than one fish doing it then you need to consider it could be ich (white spot disease)Ich normally comes down to bad water conditions brought on by alot of things but overfeeding is often one putting pressure on filtration. LexyBoi
https://vimeo.com/127821256I don't know if you can see but he is always shaking almost like he is having a seizure it's only him and he is a salousi!
Chuckmeister
I cant see anything wrong with any of those fish from this video. When they shake they are showing dominance in their little space. They may shake to another male that is invading their territory or they may be shaking to a female if the female comes into the area and she is ready to breed. Neither is anything to be concerned about.Remember though , display tank fish are usually hybridized and should never come out of the tank as anything but display fish.My harder line is hybrids should never leave its home period but thats just me.If its neither what I've posted then I'm sorry my poor old eyes cant see what your posting
