In my 6x2x2 i managed to get heaps of black slate in a rough kind of tile form which i glued together to make caves etc. I went to a few masonary places and asked around for some slate off cuts and at about the 4th place i went to a guy took me out the back and gave me all these black slate off cuts for $20. I'll take some pics soon. The best thing to do is look at other people's tanks and find out what type of rock you want. Then you can go to landscape suppliers etc and ask for exactly what you want.

Hi Bearie

The type i want is lava or limestone that are like normal rocks without any homes in them inother words just plain rocks (Like a ball but not round)

so you can stak em easily.

And Do you know of any landscape shops in sydney maybe around cabramatta or liverpool area?

Heres a link to a pic that i ws thinking ofMy Webpage

I know quite a lot of places along the Nth Shore, however not around the liverpool area. Best bet would be to have a look at www.yellowpages.com.au

if you want to stack rocks like that in a 4 foot tank, it aint gonna leave much room for fish, the base of the pile has to wider then the top. so if its a standard tank the rocks at the bottom will probably come right to the front of the tank. otherwise you run the risk of the rock wall falling over (into the front of your tank). they cant just be stacked on top of each other straight up or they will fall, even if you look at the picture (link) the rocks in the right corner are near the front of the tank.
