Adzzy
Hi allI have decided to relocate my 6x2x2 which is currently on a concrete slab but where i want to move it is a slate floor layed on an old hard wood timber floor supported by hard wood joist on brick piers, Joists are spaced at 400mm centers. The tank filled with cabinet etc weighs i guess around 800kg, would the floor hold the weight? i know this is an engineering question but i thought there may be someoone on here with the expertise or has their tank on a timber floor and had no issues?look forward to hearing your thoughts cheers
Josh
The question has been asked before and the answer always ends up with the same answer of seek engineers advice. I have done it on timber floors but never on slate. You would need to put something under it to level the floor out.
