Ant
Hey people. This could be a great long standing thread if people get on board. You can post those little things you did that you want to share that otherwise you wouldn't normally. Sparks great discussion and have seen it be successfully on other forums.Just to start it off....I managed to shift all my rock around and discovered one of my O. Lithobate females has completely lost an eye. She is in a large fry saver and seems to be doing well. Pretty sure I need to do something about this aquarium. My theory has been to keep it crowded but between Lithos, Brichardi and Elongatas in standard 4ft, my spidery sense is telling me to make a change. cooder
Did a water change this morning, and noticed that one of my calvus females and the dominant male are iin dark a$$ breeding dress. the little female is fighting over a territory with a different female as i post, just moved a big shell to the spot where the dispute was happening so we will see what happens!oh and not to mention, got a small HOB filter from a mate that is cycling in main tank getting ready for new apisto setup, still waiting for substrate and new test kit to arrive....im assuming you mean lepidiolamp elongatus right Ant? sounds a bit hardcore on the poor lithos with brichardi and elongatus lolthis should be a cool thread i think
Ant
Ps.Elongates (Mpanga). Ratio is 2-5 and the litho ratio is 1-5. Plus the 4 Brichardi. Fish are growing well and agro has been speed well for some time now. The girls are just starting to look a little worse for wear. Going to sell a male Mpanga and move the N.Brichardi to a tank of their own. Never owned Calvus but I certainly would if had more tank space. Hope you get some fry!AntAnt

Ant
I did mine a week ago Bruce. Was wierd because within the canister there was a massive snail outbreak! No sign within the tank.

Ant

Kerrin
Well I am still patiently waiting and checking in several times a day for my cyps to spit, I have 3 currently holding, one of which has to be getting sooo close to the 22 days by now, her mouth is very dark and most of the time little eyes are visible! I also must now have at least 3 different batches of similis fry at various stages being well guarded.

tropifish
Last week came home to find one of my 4 years old female 6 bars fronnie has died. Not too sure what happened as all seemed to be normal...just made a routine water change week before. Could be she's aged !!! Sad but had to move on. Kerrin
Just did a water change, had 1 of the 3 cyp utinta females I have currently holding spit a lone fry (shes the smallest female) yesterday so during the water change I transferred the fry into a breeder trap in the tang tank. Hoping it gives me an opportunity to ensure it gets enough food, and will be a good way to test out of that is the best option for the next 2 females, or whether I should leave them out in the tank. tootie
I've just removed all the rocks in my 4x18x18, did an intensive water change. Then added my paracyp nigrippines I bought a few weeks ago along with the cyp micro bulu point I bought today of Noddy. They are in there with a pair of brevis and some peppermint BN.I'm going to leave out the rocks for a few days as I want the two clown loaches that are in there to try and get rid of as many of those damned snails as possible. Then I will remove them and reintroduce the rocks. After I removed the rocks I seem to have lost one of the clown loaches - hopefully it's inside one of the shells I left in there. Couldn't find it in the rocks I had taken out or jumping about anywhere on the floor.
