<H1>Cleaning Empty Tank - Calcium Stains.</H1><DIV id=Qtextbox><P><STRONG>Author: yaldaraisamonkey</STRONG><BR><BR>I was just wondering if anyone has used Hydrochloric Acid to clean calcium stains from the inside of a fish tank.

Im just not sure if the HCL will damage the Silicon.

Try using pH down - I found that this worked pretty well and obviously doen't have any down sides that I have found.
