Edwin I think you should be congratulated on your outstanding fishroom. Clearly the planning and thought that has gone into producing the finished room was thorough. The photos may inspire others :clap

Do you have a floor plan of your room?

and now I start mine fish room

looking at yours it looks like a lot of work

how big is your garage

I am going to go with the pallet racking like u did

I have one wall that is 5.5m long

but I have 2 garage doors

1 front and 1 in the back

so in the summer time I can open them both

and I hope to get the wind in there

have to wait on the a/c for the room

the racking in the middle were did u get that from

i had a similar setup but I used to have the smaller fry (growout) tanks on ground level. I also had a 2 liter jug and every time I went in i just changed every second or 3rd tank with a few jugs of water on a rotation. that way I didn't have to commit to a slow water change on a larger tank.

edit...ahh yeah a canister helps too

Neat, yes the organization can make the experience so much more welcoming and satisfying, not to mention strengthening the operation for long term.

Quick question, a lot of tanks have those large whitish color balls in them, are they some sort of water enhancer ???

The room looks great Edwin, heaps of space to keep things tidy.

Glad your happy with the tanks mate, now you can sit back and enjoy your fish

Cheers,

Steve.

I have a question for you people

the tanks in the middle have no blue backing so see through

I am gonna give some americans a go..(breeding)

Do you think this will cause and issue being see through now because the fish are small they are very shy i never see them...

Any thoughts

cheers

Those sidedrops look like a pain to clean given you have filter wool on both sides of marinepure.

You are right on the money with the americans. I find them to be more sensitive to light than africans. But with time and number game, they should get comfortable.

What americans are you planning to breed?

Did you secure the racks to the wall?

no they are not secured pallet racking not going any where . :)

in the side drops are filter mats very similar to jap matting but i find them 100 times better they dont loosen up and fall apart so keeping side drops clean should not be a issue...

as for americans just for a test run

cubans

freddys

cryptoheros septemfasciatus

they are all still small
