L168 colour variation

Sometimes I think I've seen them change some shades but couldn't really say for certainty, bad eyes lol. They tend to just stop what they are doing when I'm at the tank and getting pics can be a bit of a pain because they dont like the red (IR?) auto focus light on my camera. They do always look different when I see them though. I've seen them more ochre/red at times too.

I find with Bn and cichlids,, they will change body shades depending on surroundings even stingrays to.

I see to often people making judgment on quality and color of fish without any understanding on the camouflage survival blendings.

It can also be a advantage used for predating also.

But it's a spin out to see smudgy earthy colors turn into crisp white like the above pics.

Light grey and tan colors in rays housed in a white environment can turn black and yellow when housed in a black tub.
