gillsysyd
They're is some from the guppys, that you works really well it's live aquatic bacteria that's a gel that you squeeze into the filter matt to annoculate it.
Ant
Best results I've had is a good squeeze out of an established sponge. I've not had much luck with store purchased bacteria. I do wonder what percentage is live.Ant
firthy13
the jury is still out on this i believe. but i have seen a few tests on other sites where people have performed tests to determain the successfulness of using these type of products.they ran tanks dosed with know quantities of ammonia. they then monitor the ammonia levels after the bottled bacteria is added and compare the results to a control tank with no added bacteria. most of the results returned positive results showing a much faster drop in ammonia with tanks that had bottled bacteria added. Ant
I think how it is stored and for how long will affect its usefulness. I think this had been my issue in the past.

edas
Yep, stability works for me. Every time i set up a new tank or if i increase the bioload dramatically on an established tank.
chorrylan
I'd suggest sending grant parkes a pm or call ... cycling quarantine tanks with a few quid's worth of wildcaught imports in 'em gives you an incentive to fine tune the technique.
