Bacteria in a bottle

Best results I've had is a good squeeze out of an established sponge. I've not had much luck with store purchased bacteria. I do wonder what percentage is live.

the jury is still out on this i believe. but i have seen a few tests on other sites where people have performed tests to determain the successfulness of using these type of products.they ran tanks dosed with know quantities of ammonia. they then monitor the ammonia levels after the bottled bacteria is added and compare the results to a control tank with no added bacteria. most of the results returned positive results showing a much faster drop in ammonia with tanks that had bottled bacteria added.

I'd suggest sending grant parkes a pm or call ... cycling quarantine tanks with a few quid's worth of wildcaught imports in 'em gives you an incentive to fine tune the technique.

LOL...its worth trying...Ive got so much cash to just throw around :(
