Chuckmeister Posted May 27, 2015 Share Posted May 27, 2015 For malawi cichlid tank for ph levels around 8 or less I'd say no problem.If you have a tang tank that you buffer then anything above 8ph is a little high imo and you may find it has an issue in the tank.My neighbour recently gave me her 22cm gold spot because it had outgrown her 3 foot tank and it is doing great in my tank Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Buccal Posted May 27, 2015 Share Posted May 27, 2015 I've got 9 x 6 foots with a gold spot in each with my breed colonies of malawis.Also another 7 x 4 foots with gold spots with Malawi colonies.All my other tanks have bristlenoses as cleaners.PH 8.6GH 16KH 13Temp 27.cMalawi cichlids/cats, Tang cichlids/cats, American cichlids, Madagascar, bristlenoses, peps, whiptails cats and stingrays.All doing fine and breeding.
