CichlidChick77
Hey everyone. A friend of mine has an Angelfish that has started getting black spots on its head that then open up and start growing white looking fuzz. Does anyone know what this might be? She has treated it with Pimafix, which takes the fuzz away but not the black spots/holes. Today, she put some metro paste straight onto the spots. The angel is in with some discus and cardinals, gourami and a pleco. The tank is 3ft running a canister. The water tests are within normal range except she has high phosphate levels. Any ideas? Ged
Potentially it is Hole in the Head. This normally forms larger crater-type lesions in the sensory pits of the fish. These open lesions may become secondarily infected with bacteria or fungi.
