Hi All,

This tank was inspired by the new fishing rod i bought of ebay - "pen fishing rod" :dntknw:

The fishing rod is tiny so i had to get really small baby fish :thumbup:

All fish kept in a standard 3ft tank and water is completly fresh!!

STRICT CATCH AND RELEASE POLICY IN THIS TANK!!!

Has anyone eles fished in their own aquarium?????

The fish were kept in brakish water and i slowly reduced the salt levels ... Now completly fresh water

All seem to be fine and breathing fine

..........................

Squid would be AWSOME!!! if i could get my hands on one i will try :p

I'm not sure with these fish, but I do know of people selling moray eels as fresh water. This is nothing but cruel as they may survive for a little while in fresh ( while they are young) but this is only short term! I maybe wrong. :confused:

having spoken to a couple of collectors, these are TRUE freshwater morays, caught in freshwater rivers many kilometres from the sea

Be careful with keeping undersized fish that have a legal size limit. A 2cm bream is a fair cry from the legal 25cm limit and you can be done by fisheries for having them unless you can prove they were aquired from an aquaculture centre. A fish and chip shop up this way got fined $3500 a few years ago for their bream, flathead, whiting and luderick collection.

Looks sweet though, and I might have to get myself one of those pen rods.

Hi Guys!

have added a few fish

X1- 12cm FLATHEAD!!!!!!!!! :shock::shock::shock:

X2 - 6cm puffers

X1 6cm Aussie Bass

I have not had any deaths ....

All fish eating well and looking good :thumbup:

You actually catch your fish on that pen rod? that would be cool!

Like the flathead!

You should so put some estuary cod in there. theres so many in the creeks near my place that we call them sods!
