My house is brick with 2 garage doors drive through garage and 2 access doors and and 1 window double garage. Trying to avoid chillers or an AC unit. fishdance Posted September 7, 2017 Share Posted September 7, 2017 A simple frop sheet of plastic (to stop air flow) will make a difference. Easily removed when weather warms. You can upgrade this to 3mm foam underlay used for bamboo flooring but need to tape join as it only comes in 1.2m wide strips. If you can lose access over winter, I'd make a polystyrene wall (wood frame and polystyrene sheets) that you can pull down. If you need access, I'd place polystyrene sheets over your glass tank lids and throw a plastic sheet over each rack. Top insulation makes a huge difference. I have a 10,000L tank at 22 degrees with a single 1500 watt aquarium heater. Heater is hardly ever on. I use swim pool cover as its a thicker grade of plastic.
