Bradc
Do i have had a 3fter with mbuna in it for 18 months now and im going to go away from them for a while. So im swapping it over to a shellies tank. Question is would similis and transcripts work? Or could anyone else recommend some cool interesting shellies to try. Ive got 2 black calvus already that will be going into the tank also
Ducksta
I think a pair of calvus is pretty much maxing out a 3footer in terms of available territory at the bottom. And most shellies - once paired up - wouldn't share a 3' tank very well either. I'd say you could have a pair of one thing. And some schooling surface dwelling fish. Bradc
Ill move the calvus if i have to but i was thinking of multis or similis maybe some julidochromis transcriptus bembas i think i probably could house something along those lines without an issue? daimen84
I had the same thing going. I had Calvus and multies in a 3ft tank. While they coexist there was no breeding activity whatsoever from the multies which i think is not natural for them. I removed the calvus and what do you know i now have about 100 young multies in the colony. So i guess choose either one but not both it just doesnt work well Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk
