300Magnum
It may be a silly question but can say electric yellows interbreed with Placidochromis Gissel.
DFishkeeper
I have seen an electric yellow x Dimi comp cross, so I would say yes. The current in a tank can carry milt around and cause accidental crosses.
malrift
Yes I have seen them breed with aulonacara and protomelas. But at least you can tell if they have. And cull if need be. Just keep individual mouthfuls seperate if 1 fish looks off I cull the whole lot to be safe.
Ageofaquariums
Sure can They won't usually if they have a member of their own species as an option. But its not that unusual to see say, red empress or electric blue that have crossed with a mbuna. Certainly more common for peacocks and haps to cross though. Alex
I have also seen Yellow X Moori - for two of my favourite Malawi's they sure produce a rubbish looking hybrid, not that I support the hybridisation of any Cichlids.
