raising brine shrimp

I have an article in the next NSWCS magazine on just that subject that was written by

Leo O'Reilley a member of ANGFA, that I found on the Rainbowfish Australia FB group

As it had already been published in the ANFA mag I checked for permission to reprint it

Basically he uses a 250 lt tub in his backyard (Toowoomba QLD)

For 200 lt of water

10 kg salt (aquarium salt, rock salt or cooking salt - not table salt)

 - 1.0 kg Epsom salt

 - 1.0 kg baking soda

 - a couple of teaspoons of Aquasol or liquid dynamic lifter is optional (helps to turn the water green).

Create your brine and allow three or four weeks for the system to stabilise.

You will find they need more food in warmer weather and less in cooler weather. You can add dynamic lifter once a month if you wish to keep the water green.

if the water is clear feed them, if the water is cloudy don't feed them.
