simy696
Thinking about a bag run back from Vic to Adelaide. Keep getting told they'll be fine if well packed for up to 30hrs worth the risk? Or fork out the$80 for freight?.
Ducksta
Purged and bagged properly they'll make it 2 days easy. If you take a few litres of extra water just in case you can do water changes on any bags that look a bit suss along the way.
Link2Hell
depends on wether you think the cost of travel and your time is worth ..... more or less than the $80 frg charge you want a road trip holiday and with pick up the fish while you're there you don't think the supplier can bag and ship the fish
simy696
I still think I'm at an advantage to store and pick what I like I figure take away while there.
mjoconr
Your in the area, get this fish you want at no extra cost. A WIN. Just make sure you can pick them up after they have been purged as mentioned above.
Ged
They should be fine. Just request that the fish don't get fed for a day or two before the return trip.

simy696
Another plan got a metal esky box holds water 2as big as a2foot tank buy air pump?
Chuckmeister
You are better off bagging the fish with oxygen. Large eskys slosh around too much and you'll likely bash your fish up in the drive. Just bag them up (double bag if you can) and pop them in an esky. Pack any spare space around the bags with inflated bags of air to stop them rolling around...easy.
