brucem
My latest batch of props seem to get to about 2cm then die. I feed them nls, spirulina discs and veggie disk and the odd bit of zucchini. Why does this happen? What should I try to stop them dying? I'm lost for ideasBruce

chorrylan
note ... if almond leaves help then it pretty much means you have some sort of parasite problem as the whole point of them is they're mildly anti-parasitic and anti-bacterial (and strongly colorful :-) ). brucem
Do the benefits of almond leaves come from them eating it or from what they release into the water?
Aquaholic
feed mostly zucchini. Almonds leaves may help. They seem to suffer from bacterial infections in their stomachs and are supposed to benefit from eating their parents poo when young. It is a common problem. It is like they just die although they appear healthy. Some people think they starve, some people say its bacterial from bare bottom tanks. Sometimes they do better in another tank than their parents are in.
