  1. Over 500 lots issued and only about 320 entered in for auction, which is again a terrible return rate of lots . Auctioning finished around 7 pm and early home Endlers, guppy varieties, shrimp varieties, a good range of tangs....lots of chewere and Cyrtocara moorii ( blue dolphin) Good variety of catfish as well as some larger rarer haps , not seen for some time ...overall a good variety and prices
  2. A massive thank you to @adamgatt for a all his work with advertising, spread sheets and tracking all the fish and updates and print outs for the organising on the night 👍 And to everyone who helped in the organising and running of this major event for the club. Kevin
  3. Those prices are correct... but if you join now your membership will include your 2023/2024 membership as well
  4. Hi dravyn As lots come up to be auctioned, you bid on them and if you are the winning bidder you then go up to the treasurer pay and collect your lot straight away . All the fish you listed should normally be at a auction.... but we have no control over what will be there on the day Regards Kevin
  5. Hopefully the web site will be back up next week.... trying to sort it out for the last few weeks Search facebook New South Wales Cichlid Society for the facebook page , it was updated on the weekend along with Petlink and Gumtree adds for March meeting

    Shipping

You would still need to fill out the consignment note paperwork..a Seafood Carriage by Air ( live fish are shipped under the seafood catagorie) Compliance/Acceptance Checklist form ( with Virgin/Toll ..not sure about AAE as I will not use them ). You will need to have a freight account or the person receiving them will need to have an account as I am sure the Courier will not be interested in taking any form of payment and hanging around while all the paperwork is sorted out and you would not know how much it was going to cost for certain. I think that AAE are the only ones that will take cash payments from non accounts ( can work out a bit expensive )..Virgin will only accept freight/live fish by accounts customers only ( fairly certain) Usually the sender will have to guarantee live arrival of the fish ..so you need to be confident that you can pack fish and survive for a minimum of 6-7 hours for one of the short between flights of major cities on the East Coast It is not as easy as some people may think and can be a lot of hassle unless a worthwhile shipment is sent. Shipping

Unless you can be 100% sure that you can meet the many requirments of the Airlines ,I would suggest you take the first few shipments to the airport depot yourself as if they are rejected the courier will not help to fix any problem and the fish will not be shipped out Unless you are well known by the staff at the airport your boxes will be opened and inspected to make sure they comply..... so no point in taping down the boxes completly as it can be a waste of time , and the guys at the airport use a special tape with inspected written all over it to identify . I even had boxes reopened and inspected on arrival at Sydney yesterday, even tho they had been inspected and taped at the shipping end..not really sure what they were looking for and what would have happened if they did not comply after they had already arrived at their destination If you would like a little light reading on the subject ..try here http://www.qantas.com.au/freight/pdf/SATRegulations.pdf Kevin
