<p>
	Hi guys,
</p>

<p>
	Been a while since I have posted.
</p>

<p>
	I got an opportune photograph this afternoon of one of my L200a Green Phantom Plecos (and one not so great) so thought I'd post them both.
</p>

<p>
	At the moment, I have both L134 and the L200a. The L200a seem alot more comfortable in moving about during the day.
</p>

<p>
	Hi guys
</p>

<p>
	I have a 56 Litre tank
</p>

<p>
	I have lost a bunch of bristle nose and other fish as I had some issues when using continuum fraction, for some reason it was causing my PH to drop to 6 or lower a day or 2 after water changes, but have now switched to prime and my ph is stable.
</p>

<p>
	Tank is  now 4 months old with a PH of around 7.5  and KH is 3, Ammonia, Nitrates and Nitrites are all zero
</p>

<p>
	Substrate is small black gravel and i have some plants and small amount of driftwood.  4 tetras and a pair of bettas and some cherry shrimp in the tank all alive and healthy. They get fed once a day and eat all that is fed within 2 minutes except the Aqua One Vege Wafer Food i put for the bn before bed that I remove the next day if any is left
</p>

<p>
	My problem is my bristle nose keep dying. I put another 4 albinos bn in around 5 days ago 5-6cm in size and 3 have died.
</p>

<p>
	I have noticed the belly internals looking through the skin look black after they are dead and There is a small amount of brown algae in the tank but other than that I have no idea on whats causing them to die off.
</p>

<p>
	Any advice is most appreciated as i mainly set this tank up for keeping some BN
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance
</p>

	Hi Guys.It's been ages since my last post. Got out of years of breeding Africans etc.and now have only one display tank. My last fish, an Electric Blue that I bred many years ago, was the last to die of old age and suddenly I'm left with an empty 400ltr tank. I found a collection locally and subsequently brought them home. All are thriving including a Gold Spot Pleco. Obviously the guy I bought them from has had this mix for several years and the Pleco has done well. My question is this: How do these guys handle the harder, more Alkaline environment that we provide for the Africans and would you recommend adding another one or two. Cheers Cafa

<p>
	I have noticed that one of my L134 females' pectoral fins have turned red on the leading edge.

<p>
	Hi guys,
</p>

<p>
	Just wondering if anyone wants to have a crack at sexing some L397 that I recently brought home?
</p>

<p>
	There are three fish, all around 10-12cm total length.
</p>

<p>
	I have an idea of what I think they are but am keen to hear someone else's thoughts.

	I struggle to keep these fellas alive. All my other cats and geos in the tank are doing fine but i get about 1 month out of these guys and then they die. My water quality is pretty spot onto what they should have from what google tells me. I think its that because they arent as aggressive for food they are starving. I drop pellets in of a night once all the lights are out but i think maybe the loaches or another cat are beating them to it. Ever 3 days ill defrost some blood works maybe 2 cubes in tank water and drop in once brocken up in the hope they will get some. Not 100% sure. I feed both protein cat pellets and algae waffers as well so pretty varied diet. Any advice is appreciated i mustbe doing something wrong.
</p>

<p>
	Tank is a 4x2x2 with lots of anubias and java fern and drift wood. 1x 2400lph sunsun and 2x 800lph internals substrate is play sand.

<p>
	Hi guys,
</p>

<p>
	I'm wanting to start broadening the type of food I raise my peppermint fry on and was wondering if putting a piece of driftwood in a small container in the sun and letting it sit till it goes slightly green would cause any harm if I'm then to put the piece back in for the fry to feed on?
</p>

<p>
	I really don't want to do it if it's not the right type or a healthy algae as I don't want to lose all of them in one go.
</p>

<p>
	Cheers in advance.

	Hi All,
</p>

<p>
	In a recent visit to my LFS I saw them stocking some Synodontis ILebrevis. Must admit I have never seen or heard of this species previously.
</p>

<p>
	Anyone ever or is currently keeping them?
</p>

<p>
	There is little information on them when compared to other species like Petricola, Multipunctatus and the larger variants. They did resemble the Petricola and Multipunctatus in appearance.

	Noticed one of my plecos discolouration today does anyone know why or what is causing this.... no behaviour changes and is only this pleco with the discolouration while the other two seem fine?

<p>
	All other fish, salmon tails, silver dollars, clown loaches and an oscar also seem normal? Any help would be appreciated thank you

Now im wondering once the cichlids get wind he will give them a nasty beating if they keep going with they start to leave him alone ? My cichlids are mainly juvies and the pictus is probably 1.5cm longer then the biggest cichlid so im assuming he should be ok ? I tryed making some hiding spots for him but everyone i create the cichlids find and give him curry any suggestions are appreciated

<p>
	Hi guys,
</p>

<p>
	In the last two batches of fry I've had I have been having huge losses of fry. The first batch I lost about 50% in the first two weeks of them being free swimming and this latest batch it's been within a week of free swimming.
</p>

<p>
	The only two symptoms that are noticeable is that the ones that are about to perish swim in frantic circles all around the fry saver and they are also quite narrower in size to the ones that seem fine.
</p>

<p>
	It looks like some sort of central nervous system problem hence the circle swimming.
</p>

<p>
	I have about 45 from the previous batch that are growing well in my other grow out tank and about he same amount still in the fry saver. In a week or two once they are eating crushed flake well enough I will move them too but for now I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?
</p>

<p>
	Im totally aware that in nature their would be high losses but I'm thinking hat would be more due to predators than physical disorders.
</p>

<p>
	Anyway, any replies appreciated.
</p>

<p>
	Cheers,
</p>

<p>
	Alan.

<p>I thought I would start a separate thread for all my future questions, photos and updates instead of having a few different threads around the forum. </p><p>As of this morning my fry are healthy and big enough 2-3cm to be moved to their very own grow out 3' tank. There are about 80 or so there. </p><p>I finally moved them from the main tank because tending to them twice daily was disturbing the adults and probably the reason why it's been sooooo long since their last spawn (4 months) so now I can just leave them alone for a few weeks but leave a tiny gap in the covering so I can atleast make sure the water is clear each day. </p><p>Also, I have three fry which are all huge in comparison to their other siblings, like a good cm+. They are definitely the alpha dogs in the lot. </p>

<p>Hi all </p><p>I'm just after some opinions on what synos to put with my Kala frontosa colony . Keep in mind I'm trying to stay Tanganyikan and they also almost ate my smaller leleupi ,So they would need something at least 10cm plus that grows up to around 20cm . Impossible to find a type like that?</p><p>Like to hear what you guys think .</p><p>Thanks</p>

<p>Apologies for the fuzzy mobile phone pic. One of my catfish is really swollen. It's hard to tell from the pic but kind of looks like it swallowed a few small marbles 5mm in diameter rather than a single larger one if you know what I mean.</p><p><img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/650715/aquarium/2015-07-10-20h34m46s796.png" alt="2015-07-10-20h34m46s796.png"></p><p>Apart from how it looks it's behaving pretty normally, the only strange thing is that it likes to hang out on the water surface (upside-down). But I just attribute that to the fact that it has learned that's where I feed. <img src="//content.invisioncic.com/r39953/emoticons/default_smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="//content.invisioncic.com/r39953/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"></p><p>Is this something to be concerned about?</p>
